Clive Douglas Champion
Clive Champion is a native born Brit living in Toronto. He has owned and operated Champion Photography Ltd. for over twenty years. Clive is known in the industry as one of Canada’s top food photographers, serving some of this country’s best-known food companies, agencies and design studios.
Clive is also involved in the creation of fine art photographs. In early 2000 he worked on a series of fine art prints titled “The Botanical Palace”. This project was inspired by the elegance of garden architecture and decoration of the 18th and 19th century. Clive photographed some of the Great Botanical Gardens of England and Scotland, as well as, select sites in Toronto.
Most recently in 2007, Clive traveled to Spain and continued his series with “The Botanical Palace Spain.” Clive explores his Spanish additions to the series this time, in “Antique” Colour. The colour values reflect the historical nature of the images. The prints are also limited editions of 35 and are individually signed by the artist. A catalogue of the full series is available to view on request for special orders.
